Human Development Index

Definition

The Human Development Index (HDI) measures  the development of a country and is composite index of:

  1. Health – The life expectancy at birth.
  2. Education – Mean number of years of schooling for adults aged 25 years and more and expected years of schooling for children of school entering age.
  3. Standard of Living –  Gross national income per capita.
